Wellons Canada

Supplemental Equipment & Services

In addition to an Electrostatic Precipitator, Wellons supplies a range of equipment and services downstream of the boiler or fluid heater for particulate and NOx emission and reporting requirements. Wellons’ knowledgable and highly-experienced technical support team can assist with the permit application process and troubleshoot emission issues with existing equipment.

Particulate Control

Multiple Cyclone Collectors

The multiple cyclone separator is an integral part of a biomass emission control system. Wellons provides custom designed multiple cyclone separators to optimize the performance of the electrostatic precipitator in a new installation or as a retrofit.

Wellons designs proprietary separator cones for long service life and high performance.

A Wellons multiple cyclone separator operating with a Wellons ESP will meet stringent particulate emission requirements.

Emissions Control

NOx Control

Wellons utilizes a urea-based Selective Non-Catalytic Reduction (SNCR) System to lower the NOx emissions in the flue gas from the boiler system. The SNCR system is designed to lower the uncontrolled NOx emissions in the stack flue gas.

SNCR

The SNCR system injects urea solution through atomizing nozzles into the boiler combustion chamber. The urea injection is controlled based on a signal from the flue gas NOx monitor in the exhaust stack (part of the CEMS system). The amount of urea required will depend on the amount of NOx to be removed from the flue gas.

Emissions Control

Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEM)

Wellons provides Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS) and Opacity Monitoring Systems (COPS) for both пеw апd existing ESP’s.

Operating data from the ESP and combustor is displayed on a related emissions report, and integrated into Wellons computerized control system.

System Performance & Upgrades

Wellons’ ability to offer environmental services is the result of a long history of emphasis on providing systems with low emissions, minimum waste disposal requirements and high efficiency.

Wellons will review existing systems and recommend modifications and upgrades to improve combustion performance and reduce emissions. Wellons engineering services and proposed modifications are available for many older, existing system designs as well.

Engineering Support & Consulting

Today’s environmental regulations include extensive permit application requirements for predicting emissions rates, specifying control and monitoring equipment, and establishing design and operating criteria to meet new emission regulations.

Wellons provides engineering support to assist customers with these permit application processes.
